HAWAII2013: DAY 6

DAY 6: 06/10/13 Spooning leads to forking

One of my many favorite days of this vacation (which is obviously not including our wedding day because, lets face it, that day kicks every day in the butt)

We woke up bright and early for breakfast with the Pontillas' before we go Outrigger canoedling!
(remember from day 5 that we were out at dinner pretty late the night before so I'm surprised we even woke up!)

Nicool and Jason's friend had suggested we try Eggs 'n Things so uuuubvcourse we go!

This restaurant is neat because you tell the host/hostess downstairs how many are in your party, but seating is actually on the second floor.

What are this? but no really, what are this?!!
Yes, we were are still on that hype!

coconut, papaya, and regular syrup. HECK to the YEAH!

Hawaii breakfast of champions... Eggs and spam

We all also ordered a side of (delicious & so worth it) pancakes... EACH.
Needless to say, we were deliciously full.

OHHHH, so that's what those things are! =) We're so happy to have figured it out!

Our fave couple to go on adventures with!

Newly marrieds (Note that I wasn't able to wear my ring...)

yelp Eggs 'n things here, all day erryday!

After breakfast, we realized that it was way too early to head over to Hawaiian Surf Adventures and that we had a little bit of time to relax (maybe even nap) then head over...
So that's what we did. CJ and I power napped like it was no ones business!

Nicool and Jason were kind enough to invite us on this little Outrigger canoe adventure through Hawaiian Surf Adventures. We went to the store, got settled in. Then met our amazing guide, Nobi.
(Totally sounds like he could be our jedi master or something, huh?! -- He should've called us young Pad-wans.)

We love hanging out with the Pontillas'!!!

Look at those fluffy clouds!! It's so FLUFFY!!

Group shot before we lathered up the sun block!

In our assigned positions on the canoe! I was at the very front on the left and nicool was behind me.
CJ is on the right with his hat and Jason is in front of him!

Our guide had a GoPro so he took a bunch of pics of us in action!
This outing was amazing. Nobi, our guide, was SUPER knowledgeable & it was so nice that he was sharing his knowledge, passion, and love for the Islands with us!

Group shot post-canoedle!

Hang loose!

Nobi is in the middle if you didn't already guess
(I mean he does have a Hawaiian tan)

You can rent surf boards and stand-up paddle boards

Afterwards, we decided to hit up... you guessed it... Hula Dog!
This time we dragged nicool, jason, & Yee along with us...

This was Yee's last day, so it was great we got to have one last meal with him!

oh my YUMMERS!

CJ was so grateful that Yee came to Hawaii to celebrate our wedding with us
I was too! I always love meeting CJ's friends from his mission.

Hula Dog review here, in case you didn't look at it the last post!

That "sunset" eve, we had a sunset photo shoot planned... It was for our wedding album so obviously the photos will be in our wedding edition blogs, but here is a little teaser pic that CJ took.

kai-photo.com - I found them online and couldn't be happier with his work!

Afterwards, we took the infamous "International Market Place" pic because he hadn't taken one yet.

... AND ...

Yes, it is true...
spooning leads to forking!!

Dinner was approaching and we didn't have any plans... We decided to try this restaurant across the street from our hotel that seemed to ALWAYS have a long line outside its doors.

Us in line... believe it or not, but this was the shortest I've ever seen it!

Best thing to do to kill time while you're in line? Take pictures of course!!

Marukame udon... you BETTER NOT disappoint!

Little menu outside the door. Have you guys ever heard/tasted cold udon?

Finally inside... Now we can watch them make udon noodles!

Us and our udon meals...

Best.Udon.Ever.
