Marshmallowland: Yosemite

CJ and AUD's first 2013 marshmallow land adventure.

Our first snowshoeing adventure of 2013 was one word: EPIC!
We had just gone snowshoeing at China Peak, you can read about it here.
For this epic adventure to marshmallow land, we decided to go to Yosemite.
Can I just say that these pictures do not do justice of how absolutely breathtaking Yosemite is and how soft and perfect the snow was.

Great trip up. Only took an hour. Great weather.
We did have a brief moment of black ice slipping on the way up (scariest thing that I've ever experience in my life)

CJ putting on the snow chains onto his tires.
He was also a good samaritan and jump started another visitors vehicle.

SNOWWWWWWWW

Herrrre we go!

Marshmallows!

We're in CANADA! jk. So beautiful.

Seriously the softest/finest snow we've ever snowshoe'd in.

Videeeeo time!

Modeling my awesome snowshoe set (GREAT buy from Costco)

oh my beautifulness. CJ wanted to camp here.

My cute snowshoe model!

We got to this meadow that had some untouched snow and we were here for like 20 minutes just walking around on the most perfect snow ever.
The snow was SO fine and soft that you could run your hiking pole through it without it getting stuck in the snow!

Herrrro!

Snow-kisses

CJ said "Point to the camera!" I have no idea where he got this idea, but for some reason I like it.
SIDE NOTE: I bought eye cream for my crows feet due to this picture

Back at the car, CJ had HOT chocolate ready for us.
I'm surprised that the water was still hot in his thermos. It was great!

He also set up a little "car picnic" for us which was totally sweet & really yummy!

In conclusion, Yosemite marshmallow land was a 10/10.
Can't wait to go back!
