Mexico, 2010 (pt 2)

CJ and AUD go to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, 2010.

Next up... John & Ixiim's wedding day!

On John & Ixiim's big day, they had a van pick us up to bring us all down to Tulum (south of PDC)
To explain the white, the bride & groom had requested all guests wear all white.

Tulum has less and less tourists, so it felt very secluded.

I made a new best friend down there! =)

First stop: breakfast!! Fresh fruit, nutella & croissants, & fresh squeezed juice
Then... BEACH TIME!!! (on the most perfect beach)

One of the most amazing places I've been in my entire life...

Ahhhh, relaxation!

View of the resort part

Mexico = cool sand & warm water... PERFECTION

One of my favorite pictures!!

Then the ceremony began & Ixiim and John looked so great together in blue!!

We were "cleansed" before entering a circle

They had a Mayan ceremony... This is Ixiim's parents.

They make a very lovely couple!

After the ceremony we stepped into one of the "huts" and had lunch...
OMG the food was soooo good. They also had a masseuse and a guy that gave out ice cream

After lunch, the beautiful day turned into overcast & the waves started becoming stronger...
Perfect time to play out on the beach & get into some kayaks!

Walking along the beach, I suddenly got sucked into the sand!

Cute little houses on the beach.

Some guy was sitting on a bench along the beach and he had a pet...
Apparently this cute thing is called a "wiki"

Afterwards, most of the guests left the resort and went to the Yal-Ku Lagoon to go snorkeling

Interesting statue at the entrance

We didn't have to rent any snorkeling gear because we all bought our own from Costco before heading down to Mexico... (Good great buy!)

me & my matching snorkeling gear & bathing suit

CJ loved diving and loved snorkeling in general.

These guys sold guava bars which were like thicker fruit roll ups.. They were mm mm good!

Riding back to PDC

The next day was more relaxed. Mostly cause it was rainy.

WALMART!!!!!!!

They were all watching the soccer game on the tv's... LOL

Purchasing our tickets to Xplor & touring

Taxis waiting for us tourists.. Hm, eenie meenie minee MO!

Bumps.are.all.over... all.over!

...to be continued...
